Review: MBN South Creek 5/10/12

The King in Myrtle

Date Played: May 10, 2012

Myrtle Beach National is home to 3 Arnold Palmer Signature courses, the North course, the West course, and the South Course.

Yesterday I played the South course, which I have a long history with. Back in 2008 before I moved to Myrtle Beach, I visted the area for the first time and had several rounds of golf booked. I took the early morning flight from Boston into Myrtle Beach, got in the rental car, and drove to Myrtle Beach National where I played South Creek.

Over 4 years later, this course is still great. It's not too long but it is narrow. The par 5's are built for birdies. If you can find the fairway you create a great opportunity to go low.

Myrtle Beach National also has 2 large practice putting greens, a short game area, and a full range with practice fairway bunker. The recently rennovated clubhouse creates a calm atmosphere where you can overlook a large amount of the property and enjoy a few post-round drinks.

Come see for yourself why Myrtle Beach National and all 3 of their courses are among the most popular, and most requested courses along the Grand Strand.
